I Love You Like No Otter

I Love You Like No Otter by Rose Rossner is by far my favorite book to read to Emmy! Every page has a mommy and baby animal pair illustration done by Sydney Hanson. There is a cute couple of sentences with each page that use a word play related to the animals, such as I love you like no “otter” for the otters. Our favorite is the last page with a mama bear and baby bear who love each other “beary” much!
Bedtime Bear

Bedtime Bear by Patricia Hegarty is a great introduction to touch and feel books! In each sleepy animal illustration by Morgan Huff, there is a textured patch for baby to feel: a bear’s soft fur, a bunny’s fluffy tail, a chick’s silky feathers, and so much more! I like to read this one with Emmy when she is a little more, before she starts dozing off, so she can feel all the animals!
You’re My Little Cuddle Bug

You’re My Little Cuddle Bug by Nicola Edwards is a sweet and fun book to read. There are so many cute and quirky bugs thanks to Natalie Marshall’s illustrations. Each group of pages starts off with a baby bug, in the middle of a cut-out; when you flip the page it reveals the mommy bug that is cuddling with baby bug!
You’re My Little Snuggle Bear

You’re My Little Snuggle Bear is another great book by Nicola Edwards, with Natalie Marshall’s beautiful illustrations. This book is just like You’re My Little Cuddle Bug, only a little sweeter with sleepy forest animals. I like to read this one when Emmy is a little more sleepy, and super snuggly too!
I Love You All Ways

I Love You All Ways by Marianne Richmond is a little bit longer of a read but still very sweet. With intricate illustrations by Dubravka Kolanovic, this book shows many cute animals tell their babies all they ways they love them. Given it is a bit lengthy, it is the perfect book for Emmy to drift of to sleep to!
